Trial Session

We know that asking parents for mental health support can be really intimidating for teens. That's why we allow teens to try one session of mentorship to see if it's a fit before requiring parent consent.

How our trial session works

We allow teens to attend one, 2 hour synchronous texting session with their mentor prior to requiring parent consent. This allows teens to experience the mentorship and see if it's a fit for them.

During the session, mentors provide a safe space for teens to share what they are looking for support with and help them build the confidence necessary to ask their parents for support, either mentorship or otherwise. Mentors refrain from providing advice during this session to ensure that parental consent is given before any work begins.
